Review of Mildred Pierce (1945) by Dave R — 15 Apr 2009
It started off seemingly simple but as this film noir unraveled I saw why this classic was nominated for so many oscars and why joan crawford walked away a winner.
It's a story about a woman whose desire to provide material comfort and wealth for her children leads to the undoing of the whole family.
If you like classic noirs then you'll probably like this.
