Review of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie (1995) by Ron C — 02 Apr 2014
It wouldn't surprise me if you have heard of the Power Rangers at some point in time. Who hasn't nowadays? The series has been aired in America since the 90s and has grown to become a phenomenon. Though the newer seasons have been particularly cheesy, it's never a bad idea to watch the original cliché group of teenagers.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie revolves around six ordinary teenagers who were bestowed unimaginable powers that allow them to morph into suited heroes. When evil extraterrestrial emperor Ivan Ooze is accidentally awakened, the Rangers are the only ones who can rise to meet this threat. However, Ivan Ooze finds the source of their power and destroys it. Now without powers, the group's last hope lies in a new power source hiding on a different planet.
Through a series of mildly intense fight scenes, cliché battle phrases, and typical optimistic hero characteristics, director Bryan Spicer takes you on a trip in yet another battle of good and evil that both you and your children can enjoy. This movie will not make you feel like time was wasted from your day. I recommend watching this great family movie.
