Review of Mighty Aphrodite (1995) by Christopher E — 18 Feb 2009
Memorable film in which Mira Sorvino as the archetypal "hooker with a heart of gold" is blind to the fact she is the mother of Woody Allen's adopted genius son. As Lenny's (Woody) neuroses over how to interact with Linda (Mira) take over, a surreal Greek chorus chimes in to dissuade Lenny from further embarrassment.
Truly an inspired mid-90s film.
