This is a well-done film, certainly better than the 1976 Battle of Midway. I was expecting to see a farse equivalent to the Pearl Harbor movie from a few years back. I was surprised to see that Emmerich followed the actual history leading up to the the battle and the engagement itself was very close to what actually happened.
