Review of Midnight Special (2016) by Adam S — 28 Jul 2016

Midnight Special is one of those science fiction drama films that has plenty of surprises and becoming its own close encounter film. Jeff Nichols direction was impressive, starting the film like a drama thriller about a boy being abducted by two men and are on the run from the FBI and a cult followers.

Slowly, the direction turns into a science fiction tone when there is more to the concept and plot, when the boy has special powers. Enough can be said about the plot, it is best going in without looking much into it and knowing less about the movie will have a better surprise of a twist.
