Review of Midnight Special (2016) by Jason S — 06 Sep 2016
The film is trying so hard to be a cool retro 80's sci-fi film like Starman that it forgets to make you care about the characters. Especially unbelievable is Kirsten Dunst's portrayal of a mother who doesn't seem very concerned her son is running away with aliens.
Some actors speak up when they're given stupid dialogue, evidently not her.
