Emotional and imaginative, while propelled by terrific performances, the film's final explanations both give too much, and leave you wanting-well, if not more of *this,* then at least *something else.
* There is little payoff to the mystery, little resolution to the suspense, which undercuts all the wonderful wonder of the movie's first half, and leaves you wondering about what else might have been in the end.
