Review of Midnight Run (1988) by Mike G — 09 Apr 2010
Love this movie! It's just one of those flicks that never gets old to me. It's LOL funny and yet unexpectedly touching and genuine at times. De Niro's Jack Walsh is really a great character and is underrated in the De Niro ouerve I think.
Grodin is perfect as "the package" and he does something that I don't think anybody could duplicate with his role and really makes it heartfelt and painfully droll. There's a strong supporting cast, a move-it-along plot, and great movie pacing.
Martin Brest hit a triple and stole home with this.
