Review of Midnight Run (1988) by Matthew R — 26 Jul 2011
Such a classic, watched it for the first time recently. Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin are hilarious and have remarkable chemistry. It's a true film of the 80's but besides the constant use of payphones it's pretty much timeless.
There is a lot of humor, some genuine heart and even a few good action scenes. The director, Martin Brest the director of the equally entertaining "Beverly Hills Cop" really needs to come back and do more films.
Sure he made that awful "Gigli" but thats more than forgivable when you place it next to films such as this. I recommend you check out "Midnight Run".
