Review of Midnight Run (1988) by Cameron J — 14 Feb 2011
Another comedy based on friendship and boy, how brilliantly was it executed. De Niro nails the part of Jack Walsh as rogue bounty hunter who's determination to leave his tattered past behind leaves him being shot at from start until finish as he tries to get The Duke back to Los Angeles before midnight, and of course this sparks a friendship.
It's what you expect from an 80s comedy, a whole load of one liners and slapstick comedy, which is carried of well from the both De niro and Grodin. Though at times it becomes a little repetitive and illusive, as well as ending with a predictable twist.
