Review of Midnight Movie (2008) by James S — 14 Aug 2009

As far as slasher films go, this one at least tries to be inventive and succeeds for the most part. The standard setup is there, teens trapped in a theater with the killer who is difficult to kill, but like the recently released "Laid To Rest" it manages to breathe new life and inventiveness to the premise.

It is a low budget production and the gore effects aren't quite up to standard, but I'd rather watch this anyday over the abysmal "Friday The 13th" reboot.
