Review of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997) by Ewa B — 31 Jan 2008
Before American Beauty, Kevin Spacey showed us what he was capable of in Midnight. A great film although the book, a NY Times long running best seller is utterly engrossing and outstanding. A gay murder mystery, an implicated eccentric socialite millionaire and a curious wide-eyed reporter from NY played by Cusack looking to cover the trial are some of the elements of this film.
Against the backdrop of funky, hot, sticky Savannah along with its motley crew of curious characters is just too delish. for words.
