Review of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997) by Shane C — 27 May 2008

I was very surprised at how bad this movie was because it stars Jude Law, Kevin Spacey, John Cusak and Allison Eastwood and is directed by Clint Eastwood. But sadly it sucked. It's based on the book of the same title, but doesn't even come close to capturing the amazing story told in the book.

And the idea to have the real people the characters are based on play themselves in the movie led to some of the worst acting I've ever seen. John Cusak did a great job though, and towards the end it turned into an acceptable courtroom drama.
