Review of Midnight Express (1978) by Chad O — 24 Jan 2009
Sure Oliver Stone's script warps the real events and is at times out right racist, but the performances of Brad Davis and John Hurt really hold the film together. Plus its obvious Alan Parker put his heart and soul into the project.
It's a film that could have been bolder, but there are enough good moments to recommend it.
