Review of Midnight Express (1978) by Mhemo M — 01 Aug 2009
This is the story of a man's five years of hell in a Turkish prison. It is harsh, tense, brutal, and oftentimes tough to watch. The film seems to examine both hope and hopelessness at the same time.
The film keeps a good pace, and is brilliantly directed and acted, was loaded with atmosphere, and the music fit perfectly. Just an amazing film.
