Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Matt M — 11 Nov 2012
A film about friendship over gold that comes right out of the decadent underbelly of the streets of New York City at the end of the swinging sixties. One of the landmark films of the American New Wave, as it totally represents its mission to update American cinema with grittier and real storyline with its compelling script and its sharp editing techniques.
On top of that are great performances by Voight and Hoffmann.
