As someone who was this age in the 90s, I saw almost no accurate representation of the time period. The urban slang in the movie was nearly all 2017 slang that nobody said in the 90s. I donï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)t know why that bothered me so much, but there seem to be almost no obvious 90s theme, aside from a vague background Nirvana song at one point.
As for the acting, energy, and ï¿ 1/2 1/2interestingnessï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? of the movie itself, Iï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)m afraid it was drab, slow, and boring. I appreciated the obvious attempt to nail down characters and acting similar to Napoleon Dynamite. Eccentric examples of people you may have remembered from your childhood. But it just missed the mark.
