I grew up in the late 90s LA skate culture and it was exactly like this. I really enjoyed this film. The character development of the main kid was impactful. I love how they showed the layers, nuances, vulnerabilities and dynamics of male teenage friendships.
As well as how very different people can form a brotherhood. All be it dysfunctional.
