Review of Microwave Massacre (1983) by Jason D — 23 Jan 2009
Dubbed "The Worst Horror Movie of All Time" by its director, Microwave Massacre is the hilarious "so bad, it's good" film about an old, rotund, and grouchy construction worker named Donald, played by comedienne Jackie Vernon who gives us a poor man's Rodney Dangerfield performance of bad acting and NOTHING but delivery punchlines as his dialogue.
Donald is a blue collar guy who hates his marriage to his annoying wife who has been consistently feeding him white collar food for several years. Finally, after getting drunk, he kills his wife in a fit of rage.
Things only get worse when Donald accidentally eats some of her and begins to hunger for more flesh, so then he starts picking up strippers. This movie is absolutely ridiculous at times, but mildly funny (in a so bad it's good way).
There's rampart nudity throughout this film, sometimes completely unnecessary, but hey, sometimes guys just want to see titties sometimes. He turns a girl into a giant sandwich in one scene, which was probably the highlight.
Yes, this movie is bad, but I was surprisingly entertained. Sue me.
