Review of Microwave Massacre (1983) by David V — 13 Jul 2009
It's hard to say why I enjoyed this film, which is just as stupid as its title, as much as I did; there is some ineffable quality to it that is quite charming. I appreciate the perverse casting of Jackie Vernon, voice of Frosty the Snowman in the classic TV special, as the cannibal construction worker.
There's also the microwave oven which is as big as a refrigerator. Claire Ginsberg is a brilliant comedic actor who would have been perfect in John Waters' early films.
