Review of Micmacs (2009) by Alison O — 27 Jun 2010
There's not a lot wrong with Jean-Pierre Jeunet's return to directing after a five year hiatus. Every box is ticked as he delivers up a movie with an abundance of inventiveness in every frame that will delight anyone who loved his best-known movie to date, Amelie.
I look forward to seeing it again...and again...and again - this is truly a gift that keeps on giving. Bring on Jeunet's next effort (not as long between films, please!) when I fully expect Dominique Pinon to have completed his transformation into Antony Worral Thompson's double.
