Review of Micmacs (2009) by Lyndsay C — 18 Dec 2010
Right from the very first shot it's clear this is a Jeunet film and it carries on that way. Jeunet's problem is that he is the ying to Caro's yang. The production design and the romantic elements work perfectly, what's missing is a heart and some grit - AKA Caro.
Definitely worth watching if you love Jeunet's later work but for purists, you'll feel it's missing something.
