Review of Michael Clayton (2007) by George C — 26 Nov 2010
Michael Clayton is probably my favorite no frills, no gimmicks, straight movie. Its all about the fantastic screenplay and amazing acting. Clooney was great as the titular character but it really was Tom Wilkinson who stole the movie.
His mono loges were just so full of raw emotion, a much more forceful performance than Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurh. And Tony Gilroy did what any direct worth is salt should have done with script and cast, stay out of the way and let them tell the tale.
An intelligent movie for the intelligent movie buff.
