Review of Michael Clayton (2007) by Jacob G — 14 Jul 2011
I really wanted to like this. Unfortunately, the script meanders around too much without really making the story interesting. There are hints of promise here--the premise of a lawyer who "skirts through" loopholes for questionable clients combined with George Clooney's screen presense should have been pretty fantastic.
But the script just doesn't build. It flits here and there, providing some interesting glimpses, but you know it is bad news when 40 minutes into a film and I still have no idea what the plot is--it's just poorly constructed.
