Thank god I never watched this film when I was a teen -- I would have emulated all the subtly obnoxious conversational party tricks in this coming of ager talky. Watching it back when I was 23, I still remember wanting to be one of these cool kids, even if they are all Upper East Siders stewing in their gentile, over-articulated angst.
