If you love Metallica and are content to think of these guys as hard drinking metal heads do not watch this movie. If you want to see James Hetfield power trip and control the band until he almost squeezes all the life out of them, go ahead.
Most of the time they come across as whiny babies who don't appreciate all they have. Other times, you see them whine at each other. Lars Ullrich's "FUCK" scene is pretty funny though.
