Review of Metallica: Some Kind of Monster (2004) by Jayden L — 29 Mar 2009
Though it certainly makes the experience more enjoyable, you don't need to be a fan of Metallica or even Heavy Metal to love this powerful and brilliant movie. SKOM an incredibly well made documentary that is told with surprising honesty by one of the biggest bands ever.
You really have to admire Metallica for letting the cameras film them even during their troubled times. You also get a good insight into what many bands go through. In the end the film feels less like a therapy session and more about how people, no matter how famous, are still people and that even they can change for the better.
