Review of Metallica: Some Kind of Monster (2004) by Sam H — 14 Jul 2009
When I saw this documentary I wasn't a big fan of Metallica but after watching Metallica - Some Kind of Monster I listened to there music and loved this brilliant band from then.
Its the story of how Metallica were coping with the loss of bassist Jason Newsted and showing the band writing a their new album. But no-one expected what was going to happen, James Hetfield going into rehab, the band argueing constantly and the threat of them breaking up all together.
There are even interviewers from previous band members like Newsted and Dave Mustaine.
This documentary is not just for fans because it shows that a band can have it all and still not be happy with themselves. This film is not to be missed.
