Review of Metallica: Some Kind of Monster (2004) by Lawrence D — 13 Jul 2007
It's metallica being metallica. I love Lars Ulrich because he goes from being nuts metal drummer in to a whiny, whinging kid who really should have played in some indie-pop band instead of the biggest heavy metal band ever.
Lars: "JAAAAAAaaaames, I wanna record and do cool things. Why didn't you ever say you loved me? Will anyone ever love me????".
James Hetfield: Dude. We're in a metal band. Seriously.
Lars: Ugh, you guys all suck. I'm going to hang out with my crazy European father.".
Who incidentally confirms the stereotype that all European over the age of sixty are all eccentric with long beards and look like they just came from some rural farm in Germany where they were milking cows.
