Review of Metallica: Some Kind of Monster (2004) by Sameer S — 28 Jun 2008
This is a great documentary, a look into the life being a Metallica member. It's really interesting to see how songs are written, how albums are created. How it's a regular job, morning to evening, how it has all kinds of frustrations, and how it also gets boring.
And how the band members themselves are too very human, each with their own issues and neuroses. How the guys who look so cool, deep and smart on stage, are actually vain, shallow, immature, irritating, and sometimes, downright stupid.
Great for back-to-back viewing with Spinal Tap.
