Review of Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (2005) by Jennifer L — 11 May 2008
The enthusiasm with which director and anthropologist Sam Dunn tackles his subject matter is infectious. This is my second viewing of this documentary and I can still recommend it -- even to those who are not necessarily fans of metal music but are fascinated by "metal culture".
Besides, where else can you learn all the facts about the controversial metal subgenre of "Norwegian Death Metal"?
