Review of Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (2005) by Jack M — 22 Jan 2011
This movie shows what Metal is all about, I have seen this movie so many times and never get tired of it. It is just the perfect documentary, most doco's are boring and slow, but from the start this straps you in with a full dosage of Lamb Of God and doesn't let go until the very end.
It perfectly sums up Metal, and it goes through a massive range of bands. From Alice Cooper, to Slipknot then over the Cannibal Corpse. Im a metal head and have been for a while now, and I love it not just because of the music. But because of the tribalness, and the whole metal community. I walk down the street and I see someone wearing a Megadeth shirt, I comment on it. It's just that bond about the music that makes Metal the greatest genre of all time.
This movie shows what Metal is, it completely shoves it in the face of Eminem, Kanye West and all the rest of those faggots. If your not a Metalhead, watch this movie. If you dont become one after watching this movie, your life is doomed.
