Review of Messengers 2: The Scarecrow (2009) by Shelly — 16 Jun 2010
Overall, a solid little flick, even if it doesn't accomplish much. Norman Reedus takes on the admirable task of carrying the entire thing on his shoulders and performs a convincing descent into madness (having to carry even the supernatural elements as next to nothing really HAPPENS in the film).
But the flick is technically sound; editing, cinematography, and - for the most part - acting all check out. The writing probably could have used a little work, but the same can be said for the first flick.
You can't really walk away with anything from films like these but you can appreciate the efforts.
