Review of Meshes of the Afternoon (1943) by Miranda W — 07 Jun 2007
Not exactly the most mainstream short film around, it's hard to imagine anyone but a serious film fanatic, a cinephile, loving this. For those who can appreciate it, director Maya Deren delivers a puzzling and complex barrage of images that don't seem to be related until the last five minutes, when suddenly some things begin to add up.
Artsy flick, not recommended for the average movie fan.
