Review of Meshes of the Afternoon (1943) by Bradley R — 29 Sep 2007
An avant garde masterpiece well worth tracking down! Take any dream sequence by Fellini, Bergman, Polanski, Lynch and you will see Maya Deren's influence. Probably the most haunting example of a dream with the unconscious shaping the aesthetic of a film.
It's also very creepy and may well give you nightmares!
