Review of Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983) by Deborah S — 04 Apr 2007
Loved this !
David Bowie uses his rarely seen cinematic skills to bring to life a noble character who stands bravely defiant in the face of screaming commanders in the camp of the enemy. David stays true to his personality in striding against the norm & moving in unexpected ways...so much so, that...tho this movie ends sadly, his stance strengthens ones own resolve to STAND for what you truly believe to be right even if it kills you !
