Review of Men, Women & Children (2014) by Corinna O — 08 Oct 2014
This film was interesting as it starts off being this film about technology and how it affects our lives and all of a sudden, we forget that technology is actually represented in our lives and it is just about everyday things that we learn about in most movies.
This is not to say that the film was bad which it wasn't but the fact is that it turned out to be completely different to what I expected it to be and not in a completely blew my mind away but in a way that this film could have just been about the technology and they kind of threw it away. There were some really good parts mainly from the part where the mother takes photos of her daughter because she knows the daughter is changing but all she wants to do is make the daughter have what she wants. There is also a great part talking about anorexia which they could have developed a bit more with the use of technology. This story also ended in a way that we didn't see anything be resolved which didn't make us actually care as an audience member in the end. All in all, this is pretty much an average film.
