Review of Men with Brooms (2002) by William Y — 11 Sep 2008
This was the first (and only) film I'd ever witnessed the small town audience of my local theater applaud at the end.
We've seen the plot a thousand times before (and after) but it's the writing and Canadiana that this movie is steeped in that makes it so good. At the time, the most successful Canadian film ever made, and deservedly so.
If you want a hilarious, truly Canadian film experience, buy this.
Now if only the CBC would release Made in Canada on DVD....
