Review of Men with Brooms (2002) by Hugh J — 13 Sep 2008

I kinda dug it. It wasn't trying to be anything that it wasn't and the entire cast was pretty damn likable. Especially Molly Parker. Something about her just makes you instantly fall in love with her.

I think it's her smile. I also dug Paul Gross who, despite his unfortunate last name, is pretty bad ass. Dude's a pimp for fucking one sister, leaving her at the altar and then coming back and fucking the other one.

That takes class, sir. The rest of the cast is also pretty good and the story, while predictable and unoriginal, is still decent. The bottom line is, it's a movie about curling and somehow it managed to get me interested and give a shit about what was going on.

Enjoyably mediocre.
