Review of Men of Honor (2000) by Dale H — 08 May 2008
Men of Honor was a pretty good movie in the US-Armed-Forces-training/Overcoming-adversity genre. I enjoyed learning how the different types of professions lived back then. The main character suffers a lot.
Life was so unfair for African Americans back then. Some scenes felt a little overdramatized and grandiose, but they generally worked for me. Cuba Gooding, Jr. was ok, but I think an actor with a more serious face would've improved the movie.
