This was a fantastic story. I liked the time line of the movie - how a child grows into adulthood and survives - the way life evolves for some. How beauty can manipulate life. I liked the peep into a society that I have no experience with although I have read this is a Japanese story as seen through western lens.
The costumes were magnificent. The story tied together well and the acting, I thought was very believable.
