Review of Memoirs of a Geisha (2005) by Kayla B — 07 Mar 2010
A visually rich film that encompasses so much beauty and tells of the price of that beauty. I do wish that it had been in Japanese instead of English. I had read the book prior and felt that there were some aspects of the book that were not conveyed to the screen.
An important story in history that needs to be heard and this film has given it the exposure and justice it deserves. I do hope just as many people who have watched the film will now go on to read the book.
