Review of Melinda and Melinda (2004) by Dragisa S — 15 Dec 2008
I enjoyed this movie. It has the typical Woody Allen elements with lots of neurotic conversing and double entendres. It is also a good story and has nice pacing. However in some of the scenes the acting seem a little stiff, and I was trying to decide whether it was bad directing or screenwriting.
I went with screenwriting in the end, because the characters talk a bit to "academic" and what they say seem a little too wise for their role. Even in their most frantic moments were they able to put their lives in good perspective without a moments pause to reflect before.
However, even with that, it was entertaining to watch.
