Review of Melinda and Melinda (2004) by Kenneth K — 22 Sep 2010
The premise is to take the same material, and show that it can be both a comedy and a tragedy. The result is neither. No momentum is built up in either scenerio, so you don't get a sense of forbodding from the tragedy.
Nor is the comedy part funny. Only Will Ferrel is able to do anything with what he had been given. I like Woody Allen, and I wanted to like this more than I did. Oh well, Not all of them can be winners.
