A witty film about a girl Melinda who's life is narrated by two directors in a coffee shop, debating the differences between a movie comedy and tragedy. This movie is played as two, parallel scenarios each represented as a comedy and tragedy. Melinda, played by Rahda Mitchell does well to portray both Melinda's, but I'd like to mention two roles that were played exceptionally well; Chloe Sevigny (Boys don't Cry) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Dirty Pretty Things). Will Ferrell was actually alright, filling the film with comedic facial expressions he is known for, and to fill the sometimes empty dialog humor a Woody Allen film sometimes falls into.

This movie is filled with intelligent urban banter, and at times deters from the point of showing the differences of comedy and tragedy, and runs on to playing more 'New York Stories'. There are many well shot scenes, but the film over all is just ends up as being another day in the life of Central Perk New Yorkers.
