Definitely felt pretentious, especially the opening, but that feeling slowly went away by the end. Film had me asking who would I act more like , Claire or Justine (or even John). I think I am more of a Claire, but right at the end I switched to Justine.
Just wish the film was more balanced. The first languishing half takes place in one evening, and the second half skims over about five days, the part where I finally got into the movie.
