Review of Melancholia (2011) by Laura F — 20 Sep 2012

This is a tremendous insight to the way people react that need to be able to control things and when they learn they have none whatsoever, that are in complete denial and then can't face the truth, and of someone in such utter despair that she is the one when facing the world's end is calm and accepts it.

It is strange how they all take it. The acting is magnificent. Sometimes it's a little slow. I liked the classical music, maybe used a little too often though or just needs different song here and there.

But the scenes are beautifully put together. The end left me breathless. I don't think I can watch it again though. Kind of like Passion of the Christ, great movie, but I can't bring myself to watch it again knowing what it brings.

This one brings saddness and terror. I don't know how to really rate it. (next day) I can't stop thinking about it. Upped the rate.
