Review of Melancholia (2011) by Blactacular . — 25 Sep 2012

I wanted to love this movie but I just couldn't do it. We understand what it's about, this overwhelming sense of depression, Melancholy, that seems to be deep rooted within the main character. However, as her sister takes care of her, she too starts to become more and more depressive.

The idea of this planet, melancholia, coming to destroy the earth is just basically saying that the depression is all consuming. It was visually beautiful but nothing more.
