Review of Melancholia (2011) by Tuukka P — 20 Oct 2013
Lars von Trier brings us a story about a unbalanced bride who's sure world is coming to an end with a collision between Earth and the mysterious titular new planet. Split between two partsthis is typically Trierian artistic vision of the wolds end but somewhat boring and messy for my taste.
The cast give brave performances and the second part is definitely the stronger one after the wedding which was too long.
