Review of Melancholia (2011) by Scott C — 28 Mar 2014
The movie holds your attention throughout despite the depression angle being overplayed to what I thought was an unrealistic and overly dramatic extreme. At several points during the movie I thought (hoped, even!) that "Jack Bauer" was going to pull out his gun and kill a few people.
The combination of music and visuals are beautiful at times.
